Privacy Policy

Joy of Writing is a writing programme for children aged 6 to 15. Because we work with children, we collect as little as we can, we never sell anything, and we always talk to the parent โ€” not the child.

The short version: we ask for a child's first name and age, and a parent's email. We store the story your child sends and the feedback we write back. We do not sell data, we do not advertise to children, and you can ask us to delete everything at any time by emailing us.

Who we are

Joy of Writing is run by Anuradha. For any privacy question or request, email ramkumarwork189@gmail.com.

What we collect

Parental consent

Every upload requires a parent or guardian to confirm consent before the story can be sent. If a child submits without a parent's knowledge, tell us and we will delete it immediately.

Where it is stored

How we use it

Only to run the programme: reading your child's writing, sending feedback, and celebrating good work. With your permission we may feature a story on our Wall of Fame โ€” using the child's first name and age only, never a surname, school or address. If you would rather we never feature your child's work, just tell us.

What we never do

Your rights

Email us at any time to see what we hold about your child, correct it, or have it deleted. We will act on deletion requests within seven days and confirm when it is done.

How long we keep things

We keep stories and feedback while your child is part of the programme, and for up to a year afterwards so their portfolio is still there if they return. After that we delete them, and you can ask us to delete sooner.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that affects you, we will email you rather than quietly update this page.

Questions, concerns, or a deletion request? Email ramkumarwork189@gmail.com and a real person will reply.
